October 12, 2012   West Baden Springs, IN

D. E. “Sonshine” Troche has been awarded the 2012 Ivy Tech Community College Personal Achievement Award.  Earlier this year, she received the 2012 Ivy Tech Distinguished Alumni Award of the North West Indiana Region and spoke at the 2012 graduation ceremony.

Sonshine graduated May of 2008, with an A.A.S. Business Administration degree along with being chosen as President of Kappa Beta Delta.  14 Ivy Tech Community College Regions each chose distinguished alumni to speak at their 2012 Commencement Ceremonies. Oct 12, 2012 all of them were recognized, and two of them were chosen, one for a Professional Achievement Award and one for a Personal Achievement Award.  Debbie Swisher, the Vice President of WWRH and co-founder along with Sonshine, were invited to West Baden Springs Hotel for this award.  “Although a six hour drive from La Porte, IN this once in a lifetime honor was a great time to reflect on WWRH and our future,” Sonshine stated.  Cindy reserved Room 4516 for us, located on the 5th floor with a tremendous view into the Atrium.  With a total room span of 200 feet and the ceiling of 100 feet high, we truly felt pampered to be in such an amazing place at this time in the history of Worthy Recovery Inc.  We were treated very well at the West Baden Springs Hotel, and were very surprised to win the Personal Achievement Award at the Recognition Luncheon. “Thank you Jesus for saving my life, and without who's love, this incredible award would be impossible; and for so many ladies who now are loving themselves.
